Friends for Missions...With an Ever-extended hand to the least of these

Mary E. Sawyer-Goodwin, Founder Friends for Missions April 22, 1930 - Oct. 28, 1997

"We must heal, we must feed, we must educate and we must teach people ways to help themselves to a better life before they can hear the message of salvation."

Sister Mary Sawyer Goodwin,  Founder,  Friends for Missions, Inc.

Friends for Missions, Inc., a Christ-centered organization established in 1968 to help alleviate some of the suffering in the Republic of Haiti.  The inspiration to organize the mission came from Dorothy W. Exume, a Church of God in Christ missionary who has dedicated much of her life to ministry in Haiti and who assisted in paving the way for future missionaries.

Over the years, Friends for Missions, Inc. has been devoted to meeting educational, nutritional, medical and spiritual needs of Haitians.  It has been able to create life-changing programs in one of the poorest nations in the world.  The United Nations has coined the phrase, “a fifth world country”, to describe the country of Haiti.
